JOB DESCRIPTION
The main responsibility of the Project Manager is to be the principal contact person for our mining clients
This consists of:
TECHNICAL SUPERVISION
- Guaranteeing that the constructors' maintenance standards are respected
- Following and if necessary coordinating the activities of the different departments of the RA and JAD companies to ensure excellent after-sales service for our mining clients
- Making stock recommendations
- Taking charge of the Caterpillar guarantees
COMMERCIAL SUPERVISION / CLIENT RELATIONS
- Ensuring client satisfaction
- Promoting and offering clients all the company's products and services
- Helping to develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients
- Dealing with the after-sales service interface
MANAGEMENT (15 to 20 staff)
- Managing prevention and safety and seconded staff
- Updating and improving the skills of the technical team
REPORTING
- Monitoring proposals
- Ensuring profitability for clients (turnover, costs, margins, etc.)
- Reporting on company activity. You will be responsible for managing a team, including workshop personnel, schedules, and supervising teams of mechanics.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Technical BTS (advanced technician's certificate) or equivalent,
Experience: at least 10 years experience as a technician in the field
Experience with another CAT dealer or another manufacturer would be an advantage
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- English: intermediate level
- Management Experience
- Working knowledge of new Caterpillar range
- Management skills
- Knowledge of mining techniques
- Technical and commercial after-sales skills, client relations
- Knowledge of or some experience in Africa or an emerging country would be an advantage
WORKING CONDITIONS
Based in the field, in a mining site – job rotation 3 months on, 3 weeks off
